What do we offer?

All that Impredecible Basoa offers you by planting in this indigenous forest built in a collaborative way.

What does this mean? That we imitate nature, we only plant trees typical of the Cantabrian coast, and that we collaborate with each other; everyone pays for the planting of their own tree/s and together we make the forest.

How do we do it?

We can plant it ourselves; you can come and plant it and enjoy the environment and the experience or complete the activity with a visit to the Itsasmendi Winery of the Bizkaiko Txakolina Denomination of Origin and enjoy a pintxo and txakoli tasting.

Protecting biodiversity

Planting trees is good for the planet, but we cannot forget about the protection of ecosystems and their balance.
That is why at Impredecible Basoa we take into account that nature is very wise and that is why we copy it: we do not plant trees in a geometrical pattern in rows, but we look for naturalness in our forest and we plant only native species.
Our forest will be a typical mixed forest of the Cantabrian coast.

If we plant the right tree in the right place, the results we achieve for the environment, both locally and for the planet, are exceptional.

CO2 Offsetting

Our mission is to create an indigenous forest in a collaborative way to offset CO2 and reduce the carbon footprint.

The carbon footprint is an indicator of greenhouse gas emissions that cause global warming and the climate emergency in which we live. It is associated with the activities carried out by individuals, companies and organizations in their daily lives.

Just by planting a tree we have the opportunity to capture the CO2 emitted. In this way we reduce our carbon footprint and fight climate change. This fight may seem like an immense task, but if we all do our bit, the improvement we will achieve is also immense.

We exclusively guarantee you all the CO2 absorbed by the tree planted thanks to you to compensate for the CO2 emissions of the activities you decide. Your certificate guarantees you 40 years of emission absorption. We will transform your carbon footprint into a life footprint.

We are, above all, great lovers of forests, life and nature. And also of our land, our forests, our history and our mythology.

Impredecible Basoa fuses all our passions, the care of nature rooted in our land and history. Let’s plant a forest together in the privileged environment of the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve to take root in our history and be part of it forever.

We propose to leave a positive legacy through the management of the collective for the common benefit, as families did in Bizkaia until the 19th century, when they took turns in the leadership of the management of the forests, mostly communal, in a participatory manner.

Impredecible Basoa and the SDGs

The Sustainable Development Goals are the roadmap defined by the United Nations Programme to achieve a sustainable future for all people.

They are 17 interrelated goals that seek to end poverty, ensure sustainable development for all people and protect the planet. Planting trees at Unpredictable Basoa contributes to the achievement of two of these Goals to work towards a sustainable future; 13 Climate Action and 15 Life of Terrestrial Ecosystems.

It seems that the Sustainable Development Goals are something very big, that only politicians and big corporations can fight for them, but in reality, each one of us with our daily actions can make a big change.

Planting a tree with us can be as easy as you want it to be. We offer you different formats depending on your interests. You can click from your computer or your mobile and we plant for you.

If you like to enjoy nature and you feel like planting, come to Impredecible Basoa in Muniketagana (Muxika) and we will accompany and advise you if you wish.

If you would also like to complete your visit by enjoying our gastronomy, we offer you a tasting of txakoli and pintxos at the Itsasmendi Winery of the Bizkaiko Txakolina Designation of Origin.

In either case, we provide you with the material, you just put the desire.

You will receive a CO2 compensation certificate by email for the plantation you have planted.
